The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing Launches Russian Program Initiative Responds to Cultural Needs of Area Residents

FREEHOLD, N.J., Oct. 1, 2020 – The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing in Freehold has launched a Russian cultural program; Dr. Lev Simkhayev is overseeing the initiative, developed in response to regional demand. The 150-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. 

The Jewish Home’s Russian Program features bilingual caregivers and medical professionals. Residents enjoy authentic cuisine prepared in-house, special Russian cultural programming and recreational activities, as well as complimentary Kartina TV with 150 Russian channels and Russian newspapers.

Dr. Lev Simkhayev is an internal medicine specialist based in East Brunswick, N.J., with nearly four decades of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Second Moscow Ni Pirogov State Medical Institute in 1981. His current affiliations include Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center – Perth Amboy and Old Bridge.
